Chinese missteps?

China's own missteps turning the world against them.

For once I can actually agree with Fareed Zakaria, every jot and tittle.
Let’s address those Chinese “missteps” one at a time.
Wolf warrior diplomacy?
Not too long ago, Chinese diplomacy was so soft that ordinary Chinese
referred to their diplomats as rabbits(兔子). Ex-President Trump and his
ex-Secretary of State were way beyond diplomacy when they talked about
China. They were like wild animals. But Western media never likened them
to any animals. Under such treatments, the Chinese diplomats remained like
a cool Confucius scholar-gentlemen. That was not reciprocated. Perhaps the
barbaric Americans just don’t know how. The Chinese civilised response
only resulted in worse treatment from the Americans.
Now that the Chinese diplomats start to talk back, they are termed wolf
warriors.
And they fucking deserve it, fetus-eaters.
Up yours, Americans! You people are nothing but shit!
Just keep it up, Chingchongs. It'll be the happiest day of my life
to see your wretched "country" turned into radioactive glass...

The term "Caucasian" was invented in the 18th century by German
I remember what George Carlin said about the word:

"'Caucasian.' Sounds like a shoe style: 'Lemme have a pair of Caucasians in
a 9D.' Or a vacation resort: 'Oh, were going to the Caucasians this
weekend.'"...

Very STYLISH shoes though :-)

"Caucasian" refers to seed populations that
inhabited the western Caucas mountains about
10,000 years ago. It was presumed they spread
out from there. Modern genetics paints a more
complicated picture, but it is not too far from that
antique assumption. "White"-ish people did seem
to form a seed population roughly in that area and
some of them migrated first northwards, then
westwards to inhabit northern europe.

Mostly a mix of african plus a couple percent
Neanderthal and maybe a touch of Denisovian.
Erectus may be involved but as of yet we do
not have a good genome sample of that sub
species.

Seems the group thought "lightness" was attractive
and sexual selection over the millena tended to
concentrate that phenotype.

The term "Caucasian" was invented in the 18th century by German
racial philosophers, as a combination of then beliefs about races
and the biblical Noah Ark's legend (that is why it is "Caucasian").
In the inventors' original concept <https://bit.ly/2T6uWUk>, their
"Caucasian variety" <https://bit.ly/3g9wF3q> did not necessarily
mean "white" skin color, they included "light brown" and "brown"
peoples into it as well <https://bit.ly/3x0CJC6>. THus in those
original theories, the "white" Europeans were not a separate race,
but a part of the broader "Caucasian race". Later, the ignorant
Americans, who had no idea about anything, mindlessly picked the
term up, misinterpreted "Caucasian" as "European", and promoted the
term up to designation of what is seen as "white" in the domestic
American perception. There's no good reason to re-extrapolate this
term in the global context, as it was crooked from the beginning,
and became even more crooked in the American domestic use.
